About Inner Space Cavern

Inner Space Cavern is a cave discovered in 1963 and opened to the public in 1966 that visitors explore on guided tours departing every 20 minutes through passages featuring stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstone formations. The cave displays prehistoric animal bones, including remains from Ice Age creatures, throughout its large rooms. Four tour options include the Adventure Tour for beginners, Hidden Passages Tour for moderate exploration, Wild Cave Tour for experienced cavers, and Ice Age Tour focusing on fossil discoveries. Above ground, the Saber Tooth tandem zip ride lifts riders 130 feet into the air and sends them backwards 630 feet before returning at speeds up to 33 mph. The cave maintains a constant 72-degree temperature and does not flood during rain. Inner Space Cavern is located in Georgetown, Texas and operates daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Easter Day.
