Honey Hound Honey operates as a working honey farm in Truckee where visitors experience beekeeping and farm life firsthand. The centerpiece is a 1.5-hour guided tour available during late spring, summer, and early fall months. Tour participants get close to active beehives, explore greenhouses, stroll through colorful flower fields, and meet the farm's chickens. Those feeling adventurous can wear a bee suit for a closer look at the hives. After the tour, visitors hike a 1.4-mile trail across 22 acres of forested property. The farm also sells its own honey product crafted on-site. Additionally, a modernized 32-foot Airstream trailer offers overnight stays on the farm grounds. The operation employs dogs to protect the beehives from bears in the surrounding forest.
