Homosassa Springs State Park Adventures offers visitors a Wildlife Trail where they can see manatees, alligators, black bears, red wolves, flamingos, and reptiles—animals that now live in the park due to injuries preventing their return to the wild. A guided clear-bottom kayak tour lets visitors paddle across crystal-clear water to view fish and springs beneath the surface, with no paddling experience required. The Underwater Observatory, also called The Fish Bowl, floats in the main spring for close viewing of seasonal fish schools and manatees. Visitors can take a 15-minute boat tour from the Visitor Center Boat Dock through Pepper Creek, or travel free by tram or on Pepper Creek Trail. Daily programs focusing on manatees run most days.
