Historic Johnson Farm is a heritage education museum on 15 acres in Hendersonville where visitors tour a restored 1876 farmhouse, walk nature trails, and observe farm animals across the grounds. The property contains ten historic structures and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Guided farmhouse tours depart at 10:30 am on weekdays, and visitors may explore the grounds independently, listen to an audio tour, and visit the animals. The Heritage Weavers and Fiber Artists occupy a 1920s boarding house on the farm and operate a studio gallery dedicated to preserving Appalachian fiber crafts; a visit to their gallery is included with farm tours. The organization also offers classes and workshops throughout the year. The farm suits school groups, families, and individuals interested in frontier history and traditional crafts. The grounds are open to the public on weekdays, with group tours available at other times by appointment.
