Hilltop Hanover Farm & Environmental Center, Yorktown Heights

About Hilltop Hanover Farm & Environmental Center

Hilltop Hanover Farm & Environmental Center is a 187-acre working farm in Yorktown Heights where visitors explore sustainable agriculture, attend educational programs, and purchase fresh produce at the Farm Stand. Founded in the late 1780s as a family homestead, the property has operated as a historic agricultural site since Westchester County acquired it in 2003 to protect the Croton watershed. The center offers classes and workshops throughout the year, along with a Native Plants Program featuring seasonal plant sales. Volunteers of all ages help manage the land and participate in farm operations. Visitors can enjoy the open space, learn about the farm's heritage spanning from its origins with the Underhill family through its periods as a dairy operation and Holstein breeding facility, and support the center's commitment to growing food for local access partners. The farm is open daily with hours published on its website.
