About H. Lee White Maritime Museum
H. Lee White Maritime Museum at Oswego offers tours to the Oswego West Pierhead Lighthouse by boat. The museum manages thousands of artifacts, images, archival records, and original artworks spanning over 400 years of regional maritime history. Visitors explore exhibits covering the pre-colonial period, shipwrecks, and lighthouse heritage. The museum is located at the end of West First Street Pier within Oswego Harbor and the Historic Maritime District. Guided tours accommodate school groups and special interest groups throughout the year. The Treasure Chest Gift Shop operates daily and sells unique maritime-themed merchandise, with all proceeds supporting the museum's mission.
