About Gold Mine Experience World of Music
Gold Mine Experience World of Music is a working gold mine and historic site near Wickenburg where visitors tour authentic mines, pan for gold, and watch ore processing. The 187-acre property contains over 20 structures dating back 120 years and ten patented gold mine claims. Daily mine tours through Bloo Nelly Mine last about 30 minutes and descend over 1,000 feet into shafts where visitors see original rock formations, gold veins, rare earth minerals, heavy timber structures, and fluorescent rocks at a constant 65 degrees. The all-day Mine Excursion allows visitors to mine tailings in designated areas with provided helmets, eye protection, gloves, pans, shovels, picks, and buckets. A guide instructs participants on safety and mineral identification, then takes them by tram into Tunnel II. Visitors collect ore samples, watch authorized personnel crush the material, and keep what they find. Gold panning in trays, sluices, and a panning creek is also available, with Saturday live entertainment and Sunday open mic and karaoke in covered pavilions.
