George the Giant's Strange Museum of Oddities & Wonders is a pop-up museum in Bakersfield inspired by vintage dime museums and sideshows. Visitors explore exhibits featuring weird and strange art including matchstick carvings, portraits made from dryer lint, and jewelry crafted from human hair. The museum displays cryptozoology specimens such as fairies and the famed chupacabra, alongside natural oddities like two-headed ducks and unusual snakes. Classic roadside attractions on display include the "Killer Bat" and a sixteen-foot alligator. Some artifacts are claimed to be haunted or cursed, allowing patrons to form their own conclusions. The museum was created by George the Giant, a professional performer since 1991 who has appeared in major motion pictures including Tim Burton's Big Fish and television shows like America's Got Talent. His sideshow background includes sword swallowing, bed of nails performances, and strongman stunts combined with comedy.
