Garbry Big Woods Reserve in Piqua is a 170-acre woodland destination where visitors hike 2.2 miles of trails, fish in stocked ponds, practice archery, and picnic. The reserve features three reservable picnic shelters named Sugar Maple and Buckeye, with mowed areas for games and nearby restroom facilities. An educational arboretum south of the shelters displays native Ohio trees including sugar maples and buckeyes, allowing visitors to learn tree identification by leaf, bud, and bark. The outdoor archery facility includes shooting lanes at ten, twenty, thirty, and forty-yard distances, plus a twelve-foot elevated platform for tree-stand archery practice. The fishing ponds require no license and feature a wildlife observation deck. Cross-country skiing is available on the trail system. The reserve's restroom uses a wetland sanitary filtration system, among the first of its kind in Ohio. Visitors should stay on marked pathways to protect the natural site.
