Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge in Navarre is a rehabilitation facility and education center where visitors meet animal ambassadors and learn about native Florida wildlife. The refuge cares for about 1,500 injured or orphaned native animals yearly, preparing them for release to the wild, and its marine mammal stranding team responds to over 20 stranded dolphins, whales, and sea turtles annually. The Education Center features exhibits on rehabilitation, coexistence, native versus invasive species, biodiversity, and the marine mammal stranding program. Visitors encounter 12 ambassador animals representing 10 species along a sandy outdoor path with shaded areas and benches. The center offers self-guided tours where staff and volunteers answer questions. The refuge also hosts private events including field trips, private tours, and birthday parties. A gift shop on-site sells merchandise supporting the mission. The facility charges admission and publishes its prices online.
