About Eldridge Park

Eldridge Park in Elmira features a restored 1890s Looff carousel with a working ring feeder, one of few remaining carousels worldwide with this feature. The amusement park combines historic and new attractions across its grounds. Visitors ride the Thunderbirds, a high-flying swing ride; the Turtle Chase kiddie ride; and Pony Carts, restored from the park's mid-twentieth-century Kiddieland. The Mark Twain Mini Golf Course, built in 2010, includes Victorian design elements, classical statues, and a miniature train circling a waterfall. On Eldridge Lake, guests can board the all-electric Jasper II motorized boat or paddle the Hatchling paddle boats. The park also offers a miniature train and disc golf rentals. Originally envisioned in 1879 as a Victorian-style exercise destination, Eldridge Park operates as both a walking park and seasonal amusement park. Live entertainment and special events take place throughout the season.
