About Dennison Railroad Depot Museum

The Dennison Railroad Depot Museum in Dennison, Ohio occupies a National Historic Landmark that preserves the region's railroad and World War II heritage. Visitors explore interactive exhibits within the restored 1873 depot building and view the Panhandle Theater while learning how 1.3 million service members stopped at the Salvation Army Servicemen's Canteen during the war. Outside, the rolling stock display features a WWII Hospital Car, an Interactive Children's Car, a featured exhibit car, two steam engines, and a caboose that visitors can tour. The museum includes a railroad research library for those seeking deeper historical information. The Whistle Stop Railroad Gift Shop sells WWII-themed souvenirs and gifts. A Victory Garden rounds out the outdoor experience. Most visits last between one and one and a half hours. Group tours accommodate parties of twenty or more, and school tours are available.
