About Binghamton University Art Museum
Binghamton University Art Museum, located in the Fine Arts Building at the center of campus, is a dynamic public space hosting frequent original exhibitions and related programs. Visitors explore rotating exhibitions installed in the Main Gallery, the Susan M. Reifer '65 and Stanley J. Reifer '64 Mezzanine Gallery, and the Nancy J. Powell Gallery, which consists of several small galleries. The museum's permanent collection contains approximately 5,000 objects ranging from classical antiquity to the present. The Kenneth C. Lindsay Study Room allows students, faculty, and the public to view works from the collection. Visible Storage displays objects in glass cabinets with a tablet tour offering student-written labels from different disciplinary perspectives. Beyond exhibitions, the museum hosts musical performances, gallery talks, workshops, and pop-up activities. General admission is free. The museum serves campus and community visitors in Binghamton, New York.
