About Arizona Balloon Flights
Arizona Balloon Flights offers hot air balloon rides in Peoria, Arizona, where visitors experience sunrise flights over the Phoenix and Scottsdale area. During a flight, guests watch the balloon envelope being spread on the ground and filled with cold air using a gasoline-powered fan. Once packed with air, the pilot lights a propane burner to heat the air inside the balloon, a process taking about fifteen to twenty minutes before launch. The balloon stands upright and is ready for flight once the burner heats the air sufficiently. Two experienced crew members handle setup, inflation, chase operations in a vehicle following the balloon, and landing coordination with landowners. All pilots are licensed and trained to FAA standards, and hot air balloons are registered aircraft following the same safety and maintenance standards as commercial airliners. Passengers should wear comfortable non-open-toed shoes and dress in layers, as desert mornings are chilly but warm quickly. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
