About Akron Acres

Akron Acres is a family-run farm in Akron, New York, where visitors meet farm animals and participate in seasonal activities. During summer, the farm opens Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm, when guests can cuddle goats, pet bunnies, and meet Big John the horse in two barns filled with animals. Hayrides depart at scheduled times throughout the day. Visitors also navigate the corn maze, pick their own flower bouquets from the garden, and play in the sandbox. A scenic nature walk along the lane offers another way to explore the property. The farm's Country Store stocks candles, canned goods, farm-raised beef, home decor, and freshly picked flowers. Fall brings pumpkin picking from the vine on Saturdays and Sundays, along with hayrides and the corn maze. Winter features horse-drawn hayrides to cut Christmas trees or selections of pre-cut trees. The Gathering Barn, a separate event venue opened in 2017, accommodates weddings and holiday celebrations. School and seasonal tours are available.
