About Blackman Homestead Farm

Blackman Homestead Farm is a 160-acre family farm in Lockport where visitors pick apples directly from the trees. The farm grows Empire, Red Delicious, McIntosh, Cortland, and Macouin varieties. Visitors also enjoy fresh pressed cider and cider slushies, and observe farm animals on the property. The farm sits on the scenic Niagara Escarpment in Western New York. Six generations of the Blackman family have operated the 170-year-old farm, combining traditional farming methods with the region's unique growing conditions. The experience suits families wanting to spend a few hours picking fruit and enjoying the landscape together. A visit involves arriving during published operating hours and using the self-service picking area. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website. Pets are not permitted for food safety reasons.
