About UTRGV H-E-B Planetarium
The UTRGV H-E-B Planetarium in Edinburg offers immersive shows using advanced visualization technology and surround sound to explore space and the universe. Visitors watch planetarium films covering topics ranging from the history of space to black hole formation in a theater seating 40 people during scheduled showings. The facility also hosts Wednesday evening telescope observations where families and friends can view stars and planets through multiple telescopes. For schools unable to visit in person, the STAR Voyager Dome brings immersive sky experiences directly to campuses, allowing students to explore constellations and Jupiter's moons from their own school grounds. The planetarium serves students at all grade levels through interactive STEM education experiences designed to engage youth and families. Walk-in visitors, school field trips and large group reservations are welcomed at the Edinburg location.
