About Urbana Boulders
Urbana Boulders is a climber-owned indoor bouldering gym where visitors climb artificial rock walls featuring over 200 different boulder problems, which are climbing routes of varying difficulty. Climbers work their way up the walls using handholds and footholds, attempting to reach the top of each problem. The gym provides climbing shoes for rent if visitors do not have their own, along with comfortable clothing and water bottles for hydration during climbing. An orientation from staff members covers gym safety guidelines and tips for getting started. Climbers ages 10 and up are welcome, though children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. First-time visitors sign a waiver before climbing. Urbana Boulders is located in Urbana, Illinois, with published hours available on the gym's website. The facility welcomes everyone from total beginners to experienced climbers.
