Araiguma: Advanced Battle Center is an underground arcade in downtown Urbana dedicated to fighting games, rhythm games, and classic competitive arcade titles. Visitors play on arcade machines imported from Japan, including both LCD and CRT-type cabinets and mobile "roller" versions of larger machines. The arcade runs regular tournaments and competitive events alongside casual play sessions. The venue also operates an underground mahjong parlor and hosts live events featuring local DJs, beat makers, and creatives, with sessions streamed on Twitch through Araiguma FM. The select shop carries curated imported drinks, retro electronics, computer parts, and media. A hang space with chess sets available encourages socializing and community connection.
