About Topsail Aquarium

Topsail Aquarium in Surf City features nearly 100 ocean species in exhibits where visitors encounter the animals directly. The aquarium hosts a reef tank with fish and corals, a reptile room, and interactive experiences like Stingray Snacktime at noon on Wednesdays and Fridays, where guests feed stingrays. Evening Ghost Crab Hunts occur Monday nights at 8:30pm. The facility offers afterschool programs including Aquarium Apprentice, held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, where students learn aquarist skills and marine science, and Femme in STEM, a program for girls exploring careers in marine biology and conservation through hands-on activities. Movie Nights run from 6:00 to 8:30pm. All special programs require advance booking. The aquarium operates Monday through Thursday from 10am to 6pm and Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. It suits families wanting to explore local marine life and students interested in ocean science and animal care.
