About The Quincy Museum
The Quincy Museum occupies the Newcomb-Stillwell Mansion, a Richardson Romanesque landmark where visitors tour the restored first floor to experience Victorian life as it was in the 1890s. The second and third floors house gallery spaces displaying exhibits on local history and Native Americans, alongside a rotating annual exhibit. The museum's collections are extensive and recognized by the Smithsonian Institution. Visitors explore rooms including the dining room, parlor, study, great hall, lady's parlor, and library. Guided tours run Wednesday through Sunday. The museum offers educational classes and hosts special events including the Folklife Festival and Tug of War. Guests discover regional heritage and architectural detail throughout the mansion's restored spaces and exhibition galleries.
