About The National Infantry Museum

The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center in Columbus, Georgia tells the history of the U.S. Army Infantry from the Revolutionary War to the present day through more than 70,000 artifacts. Visitors explore indoor and outdoor galleries covering specific eras including the Cold War and the Global War on Terrorism, as well as focused exhibits like the Armor & Cavalry Gallery and the World War II Company Street. The museum features a Giant Screen Theater showing films and documentaries, and a Virtual Reality Center where guests experience pivotal military moments through interactive simulations. A Vietnam Veterans Memorial is also on the grounds. Visitors can explore on their own using a guide provided upon arrival, or book a guided tour to deepen the experience. The self-guided approach allows flexibility, though at least three hours is recommended to see the full museum. General admission is free, making it accessible for families, school groups, and history enthusiasts of all ages.

Admission is free. The venue says: “There is no admission fee, however, we ask that you consider a donation of $5 per person to help maintain this magnificent tribute to the Infantry Soldier.”
