The Goat Coaster at Goats on the Roof is an alpine mountain coaster in Pigeon Forge where riders control their own sled's speed using hand brakes. The coaster stretches nearly a mile in length, descending 4,875 feet through a winding, twisting mountain route that takes approximately seven minutes to complete. Sleds accommodate one or two passengers and reach speeds near 30 miles per hour, though individual riders can brake to slow their descent. The ride operates daily from 9am to 11pm, running in rain and snow. Riders must be at least 3 years old and 38 inches tall to participate as a passenger, or 16 years old and between 54 and 84 inches tall to operate a sled as the driver. The total weight limit is 375 pounds. Along the route, passengers enjoy panoramic mountain views of Tennessee's terrain while experiencing one of the area's smoothest coaster rides available.
