About The Exchange

The Exchange is a nonprofit arts center in Bloomsburg dedicated to bringing art and culture to the central Susquehanna Valley. Visitors explore rotating exhibitions in the Exchange Gallery, which has hosted more than eighty shows since 2014, displaying two- and three-dimensional work by approximately nine hundred artists ranging from university professors to preschool children. The organization operates several programs throughout the year: the Art Cart brings art to community spaces, the Listening Room presents musical programming, ArtFest showcases regional work, and the Coffeehouse Series features live performance. The Exchange also hosts storytelling events centered on themes like belief and local history, and runs the Trash Transformed project. The gallery itself occupies a storefront on West Main Street in the former Moose Lodge, a building that became the organization's home in 2012. A visit suits anyone interested in experiencing diverse artwork and community arts programming in an accessible, volunteer-run setting.
