The Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts in Lake Worth Beach offers classes and demonstrations in fine art glasswork. Visitors can take beginner, intermediate, and advanced instruction in glassblowing, flameworking, and fusing. The center houses the largest glassblowing hot shop in Florida, featuring four glory holes, two furnaces, and multiple annealers, alongside a 750-square-foot flameworking studio with multiple torches and kilns, and a separate fusing studio with large work tables. The center brings in six to seven renowned visiting glass artists annually to conduct three-hour public demonstrations accompanied by live music. Visitors can also attend meet-the-artist dinners on Thursday evenings to learn about artists' methods and inspirations. Group tours are available by appointment. Admission is always free. The center operates in a historic FEC Train Depot building and serves as a nonprofit offering community programs for children, veterans, and young adults with disabilities.
