About Texas Tubes

Texas Tubes operates a tubing outfitter on the Comal River in New Braunfels. Visitors rent tubes and float downriver for approximately two to two and a half hours, drifting with the current. The operation offers tubes with bottoms, tubes without bottoms, and cooler tubes for carrying food and drinks. Each tube rental includes a shuttle ride back to the starting point after the float trip ends. Coolers may be brought from home or rented on site. Dogs are welcome to float alongside their owners. The spring-fed Comal River maintains a constant water temperature around seventy-two degrees. Visitors must be at least four years old and accompanied by a parent or guardian. Alcohol and food are permitted on the river when transported in non-disposable containers such as flasks, thermoses, or reusable tumblers.
