Tanners Orchard operates a petting area where visitors feed goats through a wire fence in a barn, part of a working farm in Speer offering apple picking, seasonal attractions, and outdoor activities across 40 acres. The Back 40 Fun Acres features barrel train rides, grain train rides, tandem pedal carts, and pony rides, while the corn maze opens in fall and the sunflower field blooms mid-August through mid-September. Families pick their own apples in September and October or choose pumpkins from the patch. The Farm Market and Apple Bin Bakery operate daily with extended hours in fall, and the venue welcomes leashed dogs with paid admission. Tanners Orchard is located at 740 IL-40, Speer, Illinois, with free parking and no general farm admission fee.
