The Spring Historical Museum preserves artifacts and stories documenting the evolution of North Harris County. Visitors explore exhibits featuring tools used by German farming families, ornate documents marking life events such as weddings and baptisms, and photographs and artifacts from the railroad that transformed Spring into a commercial center in 1873. The museum displays massive saw blades and equipment from lumber mills that built many of the area's surviving houses, visible on walks through the neighborhood. A permanent model train display operates during business hours, with a wooden scale model of Wunsche Bros. installed in the model train town. The museum houses stories and photographs of the oldest African-American community in North Harris County, established in 1887, documenting its schools, churches and businesses. Digital archives containing thousands of documents and photographs are available online. The museum building, completed in 1948 as a church and later a courthouse, stands refurbished in vibrant yellow in Old Town Spring, Texas, a Texas Historic Landmark.
Spring Historical Museum publishes its own offers, and when springhistoricalmuseum.org was last read, on , there was none.
The page stays here because the attraction is still worth knowing about, and because we keep checking. If a deal appears on their site, it appears here.
