The Sojourner Truth African Heritage Museum displays art representing African American history and culture through exhibitions and educational programs. Visitors explore exhibitions including displays on Black Cowboys, revealing that the first authentic cowboys were African American slaves, contrary to Hollywood portrayals, and exhibitions on Black Inventors, documenting African American inventors and scientists who created practical everyday devices.
