About Safari Wilderness

Safari Wilderness is a 260-acre exotic animal ranch in Lakeland, Florida where visitors explore large herds of wild animals across pristine wilderness. The property houses over 450 animals representing more than 50 species, including zebras, camels, red lechwe, waterbuck, nilgai, and Watusi cattle, along with ring-tailed and red-ruffed lemurs. Visitors choose from multiple safari experiences: a drive-thru safari tour in their own vehicle, customized open-air safari truck tours equipped with stadium seating and canvas shade where riders can feed animals, or ATV tours led by naturalist guides. Exclusive animal encounters allow visitors to feed ring-tailed lemurs and interact with cheetahs and guinea pigs. The ranch also features native Florida wildlife and is situated within the Green Swamp watershed. Tours operate in all weather conditions and tickets are sold online. This family-owned, USDA-licensed agritourism property is rated among the top 10 safaris in the USA and suits visitors seeking an educational wildlife experience without crowds or theme park atmosphere.
