About Giraffe Ranch

Giraffe Ranch is a working game farm and wildlife preserve on 47 acres in Dade City, where visitors experience guided safaris among animals from Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. The ranch offers five types of safaris led by experienced driver-guides. Custom safari vehicle tours use 4-wheel-drive vehicles with shade canopies and stadium seating to view zebras, tapirs, deer, and other animals. Wildlife drive-thru safaris allow visitors to stay in their own vehicles while following a guide who provides commentary through FM radio. Camel-back safaris let visitors ride camels across the property, while Segway safaris position riders at eye level with zebras and pygmy hippos. Most safari types include hands-on giraffe feeding and close interaction with Brazilian tapirs and other exotic animals. The ranch maintains a breeding tower of giraffes of all ages and serves as a native wildlife preserve adjacent to Florida's second largest wilderness area. Reservations are required and must be made online through the ranch's website.
