About Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum

Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum occupies the second floor of the restored 1916 Historic Courthouse on North Dixie Highway in downtown West Palm Beach, where visitors explore special exhibits including the current _America at the Crossroads_ and engage with hands-on activities in the Children's Education Area on the fourth floor. The museum hosts History Talks lectures, mock trials, and archival evenings that bring local history to life. Guests can pre-register for docent-led tours booked first-come first-served, or visit the Research Department by appointment to access the archives. General admission is free. Families or individuals with SNAP benefits receive free admission to all exhibits when presenting an EBT card and valid photo ID. Members of NARM, MARP, ROAM, and SERM reciprocal programs also enter free with current membership cards. The museum is open Monday through Saturday, with details and tickets available online through the venue's website.
