Renfrew Museum and Park in Waynesboro preserves a 107-acre Pennsylvania German farmstead spanning nearly three centuries of history. Visitors begin at the Visitors Center, housed in a circa 1902 bank barn, where exhibits showcase one of the nation's largest collections of John Bell and Bell family pottery alongside period tradesmen's tools. Guided tours of the 1812 Royer House reveal the kitchen, dining room, parlors, and bedrooms furnished with period pieces from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The museum's collection of nearly five thousand artifacts includes Pennsylvania German dower chests, fraktur, chalkware, early English stoneware, Baltimore Federal Era furniture, and locally made tall case clocks. Special events provide access to restored outbuildings including a smokehouse and milkhouse, plus the 1808 Fahnestock House at the property's rear.
