About Project Survival "Cat Haven"

Project Survival Cat Haven is a wildlife sanctuary dedicated to preserving rare wild cats. Founded in 1993 on 93 scenic acres west of King's Canyon National Park, the facility operates as a 501(c)(3) organization promoting conservation through education and grassroots support. Visitors walk a quarter-mile decomposed granite trail through the sanctuary to observe cat ambassadors in their habitats. The Cat Haven offers general admission tours lasting approximately 1.5 hours, private guided tours, special experiences like breakfast with tigers and keeper assistance programs, and Cat Talk and Cat Walk activities. The facility also hosts birthday parties and special events throughout the year, including twilight tours featuring cats at dusk, enrichment demonstrations, and dinners. All cats at the sanctuary were born in captivity except for two orphaned bobcats found in the wild. Located at 2,400 to 3,000 feet elevation near Dunlap, California, the Cat Haven sits 15 miles west of King's Canyon National Park and 45 miles east of Fresno.
