Project Human X, Carbondale

About Project Human X

Project Human X is a community art center and gallery in downtown Carbondale where visitors participate in guided painting workshops and creative events. Attendees work with instructors to complete their own artwork during sessions such as Glow Paint night, where participants create pieces like crescent moons. The venue hosts family paint nights open to all ages, as well as specialized events including paint and sips for adults. Private art parties accommodate birthdays, family gatherings, friend groups, and team building experiences. The center operates as a studio and gallery space run by self-taught artists who guide visitors through the creative process without judgment, making sessions welcoming for beginners with no prior painting experience. Project Human X suits anyone seeking a creative outlet, from young students to solo adults and organized groups. The venue charges admission and publishes its hours online. It is located in Carbondale, Illinois.
