About Port Royal State Historic Park
Port Royal State Historic Park is a 30-acre day-use park in Adams where visitors explore the former town of Port Royal, established in 1797. The centerpiece is the restored 1859 General Store, where guests can view period architecture and furnishings from the town's early days. The park also preserves a section of the Trail of Tears roadbed, allowing visitors to walk the historic route and learn about this significant chapter in Tennessee history.
