About Bell Witch Cave
Bell Witch Cave in Adams, Tennessee preserves the site of one of America's most documented supernatural stories. Visitors take a 40-minute guided tour through the cave itself, where they see an ancient Native American burial site and natural rock formations while learning about the Bell family hauntings that began in 1817. The tour continues with accounts of more recent paranormal activity reported in the cave. Admission also includes a 30-minute guided tour of a hand-hewed log cabin replica furnished with period pieces from the 1800s, offering a firsthand look at how the Bell family lived. The cabin houses the attraction's collection of photographs, books, documents, and genealogy records related to the Bell Witch legend. Guided lantern tours provide an alternative exploration of the cabin, cave, and haunted sites with access to historical photographs. A haunted hayride called Witch's Dell offers a separate seasonal experience. The cave was placed on the National Historic Registry in 2008.
