About Old Faithful Geyser of California
Old Faithful Geyser of California erupts roughly every 15 to 30 minutes against the Palisades in Calistoga, one of only three faithful geysers on Earth. Visitors settle into covered lounges or spread across picnic lawns with views of the geyser, bringing their own Napa wine while the venue supplies glasses, utensils and napkins. The Heritage Animal Farm features Jacob's four-horn sheep and gentle guard llamas. A Geology Museum contains a live seismograph and hands-on exhibits on geysers, volcanoes and earthquakes. Native and culinary gardens surround a turquoise mineral-water fountain. Bocce courts and lawn games occupy visitors between eruptions. Self-guided trails wind through the grounds. One ticket covers admission to all areas and parking. Children under 4 are admitted free, with admission charged for ages 4 and up. The venue sits at the top of Napa Valley, roughly two hours from the Bay Area. Tickets are sold online on the venue's website.
