About Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center

Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center occupies an 1863 U.S. Customs House and interprets the city's role as one of the most critical points on the Underground Railroad. Visitors explore exhibits about freedom seekers and abolitionists who crossed the Niagara River to Canada, then engage in Freedom Conversation Tours where dialogue about personal life experiences accompanies authentic stories. The center features interactive displays and educational programming throughout the year. Admission is charged, with prices published online. The Heritage Center offers Neighborhood Memberships for Niagara Falls residents and participates in Arts Access, which provides free or reduced admission to low-income families. Adults presenting SNAP or EBT cards receive admission for $3 per person through Museums for All, while youth under 17 enter free.
