Niagara Aerospace Museum preserves Western New York's aviation and aerospace heritage in the old Niagara Falls Airport terminal building. Upon entering, visitors see the fuselage of a Bell P-39Q, a military aircraft with unique history—one of nearly 10,000 P-39s built at the Bell Aircraft Wheatfield plant from 1940 to 1944, and among thousands sent to Russia during World War II. The museum also features a scale model of the Bell Lunar Landing Research Vehicle, with expert docents available to discuss this significant piece of aerospace history and the propulsion systems that made lunar training possible. Additional exhibits include the Bell Agena Rocket Engine, developed during the Cold War for spy satellites. The museum maintains a library of technical documents and correspondence related to these aerospace accomplishments. The museum opens Saturday and Sunday afternoons and welcomes group tours by appointment. It suits educators, students, researchers, and tourists interested in aviation design, manufacturing, and testing in Western New York. The museum is located in Niagara Falls, New York.
