About Museum of the American GI

The Museum of the American G.I. in College Station honors American service members through exhibits of military equipment, uniforms, and historical artifacts. Visitors explore a one-of-a-kind collection of fully functional vehicles, authentic World War I and World War II posters, and outdoor exhibits designed for reflection. The museum hosts hands-on history events and special programming throughout the year, including activities where visitors create items like realistic masks and learn about WWI biplanes. The facility is fully accessible to visitors with limited mobility and families with strollers, offering complimentary manual wheelchairs, wheelchair-accessible restrooms, and elevator access to second-story rooms and the mezzanine. Limited bench seating is available throughout the galleries. Service dogs and well-behaved dogs in backpacks, strollers, or on leashes are welcome. The museum operates Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., and charges admission with rates varying by age and visitor category.
