About McCrary Park
McCrary Park in Asheboro is home to the Asheboro ZooKeepers, a family-friendly baseball team in the Coastal Plain League. Visitors watch CPL summer games at this historic venue, which began as the home of the McCrary Eagles semi-pro team in 1948. The park has undergone extensive renovations in recent years, including installation of a state-of-the-art synthetic infield surface, new dugouts, an expanded press box, and a multi-purpose shelter known as the "Snake Pit" seating area beyond the first base bleachers. McCrary Park hosts regional and championship tournaments throughout the year, including the Coastal Plain League All-Star Game, the American Legion Southeast Regional Tournament, the South Atlantic Conference Championship, and the NCISAA 2A State Championship. The facility also offers ZooKeepers Baseball Camps for boys and girls ages 5 through 12. Now owned and operated by the City of Asheboro, the park stands as one of North Carolina's premier community baseball venues. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
