About Marion County Fairgrounds
Marion County Fairgrounds hosts livestock shows, dog shows, auctions, wrestling events, circuses, and motorsports competitions throughout the year. The Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the grounds provides a modern venue for concerts, sporting events, conventions, and meetings. The fairgrounds feature indoor winter storage for boats, motor homes, campers, vehicles, and farm equipment. The Marion County Fair showcases 4-H youth development projects and fair royalty competitions that have been central to the event for over a century. Harness racing historically filled the grandstand, and the grounds have hosted notable visitors and performers. Located in Marion, Ohio, the fairgrounds sit on land purchased by county commissioners in 1868 and continue to serve as a community hub for agricultural heritage and varied entertainment.
