M&D Trees is a 32-acre nursery operation near Kingman where visitors select and purchase fruit, nut, shade, and Christmas trees grown locally and acclimated to Arizona's desert climate. The farm cultivates over 1,200 trees including apples, peaches, plums, and cherries among the fruit varieties, along with pecans, almonds, and walnuts for nut growers. Shade trees provide cooling and landscape enhancement suited to the high desert environment. The nursery also offers fresh-cut Christmas trees, the only locally grown option in Arizona. Every tree begins as a bare root before being potted in a 15-gallon container to develop a strong root system, ensuring better adaptation and faster growth once planted. Owner Doug Englert, drawing on over 35 years of experience, provides expert guidance to help visitors choose the right tree for their property and offers advice on planting and care.
