Lake Lotus Park preserves 120 acres of woods and wetlands where visitors explore nature trails and encounter local wildlife including alligators and dragonflies. The Altamonte Springs nature preserve features an education center, picnic pavilions with barbecue grills, and playground areas. An enclosed pavilion is available for rental events. The park offers animal encounter and nature walk programs, along with bird walks led by rangers. A fishing pier provides access for anglers with valid Florida licenses. The property, purchased by the City of Altamonte Springs in 1972, maintains its diverse natural habitat largely undisturbed since settlers arrived in the late 1800s. Visitors can access the park Thursday through Sunday during published operating hours.
