Krape Park in Freeport, Illinois features a 44-foot waterfall cascading from a limestone bluff, surrounded by heavily wooded grounds ideal for exploration and relaxation. Visitors paddle canoes and kayaks across the water, exploring Twin Caves and paddling under the bridge. The historic carousel, operating since 1959 with 20 hand-painted horses, offers classic rides. Wing It! Mini Golf mimics the natural landscape throughout the park. The Koenig Amphitheater, a band shell built in 1939, hosts band concerts, vocal performances, and community events with ample seating for lawn chairs. Additional activities include an 18-hole disc golf course, tennis and pickleball courts, sledding hills, cross-country skiing trails, and multi-use trails. Kids' Kastle, a 10,000 square foot volunteer-built structure, and Little Kids' Playground serve younger children. A fishing pier on Yellow Creek, duck pond, baseball diamond, and numerous picnic tables complete the offerings. The park earned Outstanding Multi-Use Facility recognition from the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association.

Krape Park publishes its own offers, and when freeportparkdistrict.org was last read there was none.
The page stays here because the attraction is still worth knowing about, and because we keep checking. If a deal appears on their site, it appears here.
