The Mountain Course and the Lake Course were both designed and built in 1957 by two merchant marine brothers who handcrafted them using geometry, physics, and simple machines. The courses present a timeless challenge to golfers of all skill levels. Each course features thirty-eight holes constructed with mechanical precision, offering straightforward gameplay without modern gadgetry. The brothers' children and grandchildren maintained the courses for decades, and current ownership has continued the tradition since 1998. Players select which nineteen-hole course to tackle during their round, putting across the holes designed more than sixty years ago. The courses remain in their original condition, reflecting their classic construction and mid-century design philosophy.
