The Kelly-Griggs House Museum is a classical Victorian mansion built in the early 1880s and restored to showcase period life through guided tours. Visitors walk through elegantly renovated rooms where Victorian-dressed mannequins stand among authentic furnishings, experiencing how the house's residents lived. The museum contains the Emmet Pendleton Stairway Gallery, displaying paintings spanning more than a century of local art history. The Ishi Room features the Isensee exhibit about the last wild Indian and other artifacts from the region's Native American heritage. The Pioneer Room holds priceless possessions and historical photographs documenting Tehama County's past. A nonprofit organization established in 1965 purchased and restored the house to preserve local history for present and future generations. The museum is located in Red Bluff, California, and operates as an educational institution supported by community donations and memberships.
