About Imagination City

Imagination City in San Mateo is a child-sized city where children engage in real-world roles through interactive exhibits and facilitated activities. The facility is designed to help children understand how the actual world works while developing self-confidence and social skills. Through play, visitors build fundamentals in math, reading, and science while fostering curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. The indoor play space operates on weekdays with open play sessions available during daytime and early evening hours. Visitors should bring or wear socks, as shoes are not permitted inside the play area and grip socks are required for children. The facility is located within a San Mateo shopping mall and includes access to family bathrooms located nearby in the mall. Sessions run for set durations, and families can arrive at any point during their booked time slot.
