About Hudson Valley Boat Rides
Hudson Valley Boat Rides operates a 33-foot dual-hull water taxi from Shadows Marina in Poughkeepsie, carrying up to 14 passengers on high-speed trips to Newburgh's waterfront. Captains licensed by the US Coast Guard pilot the vessel at speeds up to 60 mph, completing the journey in 20 minutes. The twin-hull design allows smooth passage over waves even at peak speed. Visitors can enjoy restaurants and activities in Newburgh before returning, or ride back immediately. The boat runs by reservation only, with a minimum group size requirement. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult; those under three are not permitted. The experience does not suit pregnant women or those with back or neck injuries.
